Apparently he's just dumb and didn't consider not allowing Bell to hit a single on the 9th pitch he saw after a prolonged AB.

Oh, and he also didn't consider not allowing an infield single or a wild pitch.

Maybe someone super smart should tell him to consider those things?
 
In short: typical irrational "he's dumb" reaction by the usual suspect.

Actual fact: Pirates were fortunate to squeak out 2 gift runs in the 1st inning.
 
Archer is getting corner calls Folty was not getting. Sucks to see the ump change two at-bats so early in the game.

You may want to review the low strike call Folty got against Bell.

I suppose we can take a lok at the strike/ball scatter tomorrow and see if the ump really screwed Folty or not.
 
Now that the FA velocity appears to have rebounded, Folty's issue remains a lack of break on the SL.

His spin rates are down from last year, so he's either still not quite right, or we saw peak stuff Folty last year.
 
Something to watch tonight. Swing and misses. Doesn’t seem like Folty is generating many. Wonder if he is tipping pitches or poorly tunneling. But it is going to be hard for Folty to pitch well without more swinging strikes.
