No, you won't. Why? Because I'm the one who proves you all wrong all the time, and it hurts your fragile egos that you aren't as knowledgeable about the game as you think you are. When you can't fall back on the "you're just a nerd who has never touched a baseball" because I played more ball than all of you, it hurts your little egos even more.

You guys are all so butt hurt I'm surprised you can sit at your PCs.

This is true. I call it the Enscheff affect. At first people were shocked by his antics, but then he got away with it so others decided it must be okay. After a while personal attacks were followed by more personal attacks, and things began to escalate. Now we have a lot of good posters no longer posting. A lot of people who tolerate it because Enscheff provides great information, and every few weeks a thread that gets hijacked with back and forth attacks and arguments. Crimson tries to bring it back, but it is usually too late.

I look forward to reading what Scheffy has to say, and I rarely respond... like many others, but I wish we could have the great discussions with a bit more respect and tolerance.
 
Would anyone be interested in me trying to lighten the mood in future hijacked threads by making poop jokes? We can all bicker and call each other names and make fun of each other's occupation, but I feel like nothing brings people together like a good poop joke.

I'm enjoying it immensely. I'm just not posting anything one way or another since I don't need the aggravation. And I don't need to be critiqued and called stupid. I may not be as sabermetrically involved as Enscheff, but I enjoy talking baseball. So I do it, but not here. I'm really surprised that's what you want. What has become normal on this board is not normal. Kind of like the White House.

No, that's not why. I have no interest in competing. I seek community. With your excellent analysis, guys good-naturedly cracking on each other, ultimately tied back to our common interst in the Braves.

You dont need to prove a thing. You're head and shoulders above any other poster in terms of analysis. Its a shame you feel a need to point that out so often.
