GDT 6/13: Strider, and a Hard Rain’s Gonna Fall

Seems like every year someone around here bitches about how we draft so many pitchers and not enough position position players ….

This is why we draft so many pitchers -

We need about six right now

Might be delayed a good while - til maybe 9??

Interesting. I'm old and line-up construction up until the 1990s was pretty standard, but taken seriously, and wasn't analyzed. Then the first wave of analytics came along and contended that line-up construction was overblown in importance. Then the second wave comes along and line-up construction is undertaken with a keen eye toward analytics. I'm not that big of an Olson guy, but he is patient and that provides cover for Acuna's base-stealing and I don't know if that is in Albies' skill set.
