I assume the justification truly is "we need to get Ozuna hot," but I'd still rather see Contreras in there.

I suppose my hope is that if Snit had a solid guy on the bench maybe he would play him 2-3 games per week and rotate guys guys through days off to keep them all fresh. Apparently that won't ever be in the plans for this team though.

To be somewhat fair to Snit, he’s not exactly given much to work with.

He’s managed Contreras really well.
He did a fine job with the OF rotation in the 2nd half.

I am under no illusion he would be able to replicate what Cash and Roberts do, but I think he would at least do the obvious stuff.
