I just read in the NY Post that Boone challenged the Riley play at third on the premise that he was blocking the bag. Talk about begging for a call.
A clown who would look terrific playing LF and hitting second for the Braves in 2025.
I honestly don't want him if he was free.
Since May 7 (132 PAs) Kelenic has a line of .276/.311/.520 with 78 homers and a K rate of 26.5%. Even with a low OBP, it would be nice if this is the version Kelenic we're getting for here on out.

Sure is a shame we never extended Fried years ago....
We tried to according to reports. Doesn't look like he was interested unless it was market value. And market value is well over 200 million.
Ah - Didn't see that.
When were the attempts?
I think agents are smart as to when they will let their players take extensions from their existing org. Fried is 30 and knows that this will be his last big time contract.. he can linger around after this contract of course and make some good dough.. but this is the big one and there is no chance he will take a team friendly deal.. Guys like strider, it is different. taking a team friendlier deal is ok.. they can still get another huge payday.
Fried is going to push the market and be one of the last to sign, in hopes to get the absolute max money from the market on this deal.
Not without risk... God help us both if he gets injured

Fried is the early leader for most likely to price himself into a pillow contract.
He is probably going to be looking for more money than Nola ($175M), isn't interested in a homegrown discount, will have a QO attached, is going into his age 31 season, and has a K/9 of 8.0 this year.
There's a decent chance he holds out for $200M+ and finds the offers lacking.
