Very Flirtatious, but Doubts What Love Is.
Shane Greene may be DFA worthy soon.
And people were mad Anthopoulos hadn’t resigned him initially.

I was so excited when we drafted Kyle Wright, I couldn’t believe he fell to us at 5. He’s either a bust or needs to get a change of scenery now. His control just isn’t good.
Sucks that Fried was hurt. We had a real shot to take 3 of 4 if he would have started
Didn't see a pitch - I refuse to watch when he's on the mound.
When he's been no more successful in Gwinnett than he has, you're shooting yourself in the foot by calling him up in a situation like yesterday. Coming off of a couple days where the majority of the pen was rested, not having yesterday be a bullpen game just seems utterly stupid.
Luke Jackson for Opener!!! That way you just keep one of Muller or Wilson on the roster and ready to follow Luke every 5th day. (Still think Strider could fit as an Opener during the second half as well.)
Last night would've been a perfect bullpen game. We have guys that aren't getting enough work bc we keep so many pitchers. This team can't think outside the box at all... an opener or bullpen game? Awww hell naw, gotta run these garbage starters up
Does Wright have any value left? I know he's lost a ton, but surely someone would wanna take a chance.
Dude has zero value. Of course not every front office will agree with the value of a given player but Fangraphs last updated him with a 40+ FV. I'm assuming that was given to him sometime in the past year as he exceeded prospect eligibility last year. That has a trade value of like 5 million and I think even that's generous. Long way of saying he would be a filler piece to any trade.
Wright's FA is still very flat (only 6.5" of rise) and his SI is still by far his best fastball. So why did he throw 47 FAs and only 21 SIs last night?
Probably because the CU is better than his SL, and a CU pairs better with a FA than with the SI.
So you have Wright trying to throw 5 pitches, and can't control any of them. The FA is poor, so it's hard for him to be a FA/CU guy, but the SL isn't good so it's hard for him to be a SI/SL guy. He was getting almost 2400 RPM on the FA last night, which is plenty to generate rise, so that tells me he has horrid spin efficiency. The 2600+ RPM he gets on the CU is also plenty good.
Wright is a guy with raw parts and needs expert pitch crafting to work with him. He probably can't continue to throw 5 pitches that he can't control/execute.
