What's with Báez's elaborate and dramatic bases-on-balls ceremony? I know he walks next-to-never, but doesn't really seem like there's a need to pimp ball-four like that.

That first-base corner is very much not being called this evening, after being very much overly-expansive last night.
 
Fried's thrown the slider a good bit more, and it looks pretty good.

Problem is since it's a new pitch, it's not on his mediocre tunneling, so outside Bryant they're seeing it.
