Evan Gattis: (Back) Out For Game 1 Saturday
Posted on June 28, 2014 at 9:26 AM

NEWS UPDATE
Gattis (back) is not in the lineup for Game 1 of Saturday's doubleheader against the Phillies.

ROTOWIRE FANTASY ANALYSIS
Manager Fredi Gonzalez waited until less than two hours prior to first pitch to submit his lineup for Game 1, as he was presumably waiting to see how Gattis' back responded to the treatment he received overnight. As it turns out, Gerald Laird will catch the first game, but Gattis has not been ruled out for the nightcap.

I defend Fredi but no way BJ/Simba should be 1-2.

Top 4 should be Heyward/JUp/FF/Gattis, after that put the next 4 in a hat.

Lineup took off last year once that happened.

In theory, BJ-Simmons is an ideal 1-2.

But that's not taken into account how bad BJ is and how Simmons swings at everything like he's trying to hit it 600 feet.

@ajcbraves: Fredi going to give Simmons a shot in the 2 hole a while. drop La Stella down, given his recent struggles

Lulz, as if Simmons has earned it. He may as well bat left-handed, because he winds up in that side of the batter's box every swing

Hopefully Uggla starts game 2, TLS is not setting the world on fire as it is, besides if they are not going to cut him he should start one game per week anyways.

Uggla shouldnt start ever again.

Start Pena in Game 2.

Most logical lineup:

Heyward, JUp, FF, Gattis, CJ, TLS, BJ, Simmons, P.
