Arraez is more like Ichiro than Jeff McNeil imo. We'll see how far his skillset will take him but he's one of the best contact hitters we've had in a long time.

What made Ichiro special was his elite baserunning and fielding. Overall, he was a very good offensive player who occasionally had elite seasons with BABIP luck. Arraez provides no baserunning and defensive value to the table, so even if he is Ichiro offensively (which I doubt because he won’t pile up infield hits like Ichiro did), he still going to be limited.

Agree with all angles here. Arraez is limited, but he's a magician with the bat. With batting average becoming less valued, my guess is hitters for whom batting average constitutes a vast majority of their value are going to win batting titles.
