GDT 6/3/25: Braves vs Diamondbacks - Harris Back Where He Belongs

I guess a few of you guys and AA are the only ones who thought Strider was going to be effective coming back from surgery. Let’s judge him when he has an entire offseason to build up.

Luckily AA secured extra pitching. Oh wait.

Strider at 94-96 isn’t going to work. We’ve already seen that whenever he didn’t have his top end velocity.

Strider gets the velo back up eventually I'm guessing. Just gonna take a little bit bc he's basically rehabbing right now.

So how does he go about adjusting to what he is now?
No idea. My skills end at evaluating stuff. I don’t even pretend to have ideas about how to improve it or use it.

My non-expert opinion is he will need to learn how to better execute, and hope to build back some velocity as the calendar moves forward.

But most likely we are getting first hand experience why extending pitchers isn’t usually a good idea. Simply cutting bait and using that cash elsewhere is no longer an option.
