GDT 6/30/19: Back to a meh GDT - Albies out

Fried last 11 starts...
53.1 ip 66 h 33 er 21 bb 53 k
Era = 5.57
Whip = 1.63

I won't be too surprised if Wright, folty, or Gausman take his spot

That’s just crazy talk. We have an open rotation slot as it is for Gausman to take. Folty probably needs to spend at least a month in AAA before we even think of bringing him back and Wright hasn’t shown us anything in the opportunities he’s had.

Fried was lucky his last two with the DP pickoff saving him and against Pittsburgh he had Culberson/Flowers bail him out nailing a runner at home. Both games and innings could've went much different otherwise.

Didn't realize I put a time stamp on when it would happen. I think Gausman and folty will push themselves back in the rotation at some point. If I'm correct, 2 currents will be out. My best guess for August rotation is Dallas, folty, gausman, soroka, and most like Julio even though fried is more talented.

Really enjoying the ESPN interview with Ron Swoboda talking about the 1969 Mets. I remember the huge push they made in passing the Cubs to win the division and the pain of getting swept in the first five game NLCS. I'm not sure I've ever forgiven the Mets for that. 8^)

Opposite for me. Espn does this every game I guess to connect with a larger audience, but it’s like fingernails on a chalk board when I’m trying to actually watch the game they are airing. They do love to hear themselves talk....
