GDT #6, 4/6/'14: Braves (Wood) @ Nationals (Jordan) 1:35 PM EST [The Dark Wood Rises]

It isn't just about today. He had very little left after 6. It hurt him and the team to leave him in.

Maybe so but let's not forget how the defense more or less was the reason he gave up the first run. Even with that being said the guy has pitched 14 innings and has only allowed 3 ER in the two games he's pitched. I'll take that every single day and some. It's not his fault our line up is full of all or nothing type hitters.

Terrible showing on offense and bad defense today. Only Wood showed up apparently and he's three outs from a loss.

Wood has pitched fantastic. I love it. Want to see it all year and longer. That's why I don't see the point in keeping him in once he is close to finished if it doesn't matter (game off tomorrow for the bullpen).

Fredi let Wood throw some more pointless pitches (warming up). WTF!? It just makes no sense.

I guess when people told BJ they wanted him to play more like his brother, he had a nice long heart-to-heart with Justin.

Is Varvaro gone when Santana debuts? Only reason I can think to completely ignore him.

It's always going to be a lose lose situation for Freddi. Either it's he's over using the relievers, he's over using the starters, etc. I'm sure once we have a healthy Minor and Santana we will see some spot starts in place of our young starters like Julio and Wood but Wood wasn't drafted to be a reliever. Wood has always been a starter and that's what he'll be in ATL.

Okay.
