GDT 6/4: SALE leads the resistance

Here’s the thing - this team is massively talented, and is 5.5 out of the wild card race. I’m not saying all is unicorns and zapp’s chips or anything, and it’s certainly not early in the year anymore…. But this team is going to win a whole bunch of games this summer. Maybe even more than any other team in the game. Hopefully 12 more than the Phillies. Sale is on the mound tonight. Hopefully he gets us going in the right direction, and our offense puts up some big numbers for the home crowd on a Wednesday summer night!

What 7-D chess am I missing by having Verdugo hit ahead of Murphy?
It’s either that Verdugo has hit this dude better over his career, that Verdugo is a lefty vs. a righty, that based on what’s available out of Arizona’s pen late bodes slightly better for Verdugo, or that Fredi G and Marcel have shared some of their finest Miami smokeables with Brian Snitker.

If I were pitching to Acuna, I'd throw up and in at his first pitch. Acuna is toast once you get him crying

Sale struggles with a 26 pitch first inning.

Braves offense whimpers and lets Kelly have an easy 11 pitch inning before sending Sale back out there.

What in the world are you watching? Lmao Sale was great. He threw about 10 more pitches thanks to the ump. Offense was ass, but that's normal.

Yeah, I can't even fathom why they've stopped hunting the fastball. They're looking offspeed every single time. It's a legitimately bad approach.
