No. I would not bitch. That’s EXACTLY what we should have seen. That’s what I’m pissed about. He would’ve MUCH more likely walked in a run than gotten a hit. I don't put FF on AA. It was a goof up no doubt but there were obviously some stuff that we don't know about happened that's why he fired his agent. I'd take Murphy over Contreras. Money is the only thing that sucks about it. Harris and Strider looked like stars and everybody was excited about the extensions when they happened and they may still pan out but it's hard to fault AA for either of those. 4. Enscheff rightly pointed out in real time these extensions would hamstring us later. He was right
I think they have the money they just wanna reset the tax. This year has taught AA and the owners several things. AA won't repeat this past offseason and neither will ownership bc the team is tanking and attendance will to. They'll have to spend big in the offseason and get a new manager to bring confidence back if this season is lost.
They always come with risks. You get cost certainty but you also get the risks that come with them. I wouldn't extend anybody until there were at least 3 straight years of production.
