I feel pretty good about the team right now too, but man, we really need at least 1 more bat, soon
Bauer's Spinrate today vs yearly average
Fastball: 2612 - 2835
Slider: 2944 - 2999
Cutter: 2828 - 2898
Cole was similar in his last start. The RPM dropped from his fastball on average by 116 RPM and his curve dropped by 70. Looks like that substance really effects the RPM of fastballs.

I don't follow this at all, do spin rates vary (sometimes wildly) game-to-game?
No idea. It's something I'll keep and eye for Bauer and Cole though.
We did just beat Kershaw and Bauer though

Smyly is terrible and the biggest blunder AA has made this far. It’s not particularly close either.

One of the things I dislike the most about the unbalanced schedule is the amount of games you see your division rivals. Seeing Philly and Washington a combined 22 games out of the first 60? Some variety is needed. I'd like to see the Braves play the Cardinals/Cubs/Pirates 9-10 times a year, too.

Nah, because of the shortened season. Also, Hamels is a safer bet to pitch well if could’ve stayed healthy.
