GDT 6/7/19: Turning things around in Miami

I know the Marlins aren't a good team, but this is still impressive. Fish have scored 43(!) runs in their last 5 games and beat the ever-loving #$%^ out of the Brewers and Padres

That's a pretty bad idea given that Soroka is almost certainly on an innings limit this year. If I were Snit, I would have pulled him after 6

Edit: Just saw where Snit said no innings limit. That is pretty bizarre given the circumstances.

AA said he doesn't buy into the innings limit deal anymore. More on stressful pitches.

That said if he had a limit it sounds like it'd be 180 anyway or around that and he got a late start.

Shutting him down doesn't help his shoulder. That's the issue with pitchers now days anyway. They don't throw enough.

Although we’ve had our way with the Fish this year, hadn’t they won 13 of their last 19? IIRC they also beat the Brewers by three TDs. Bottom line is these guys aren’t pushovers of late.

they won back to back series on the road vs the Brewers and Padres, they've been playing well lately.

Winkler is in and proving to be a POS reliever. Gives up 2 hits to score the inherited runner left by Soroka. That knocks Soroka out of NL lead for lowest ERA.

Send Winkler down and bring up Duval to platoon with Markakis. Go to a 5 man bench.
