GDT 6/7: Save Us, San Francisco

after the last 2 deadlines and this offseason, you wouldn't call him out for anything in the world. He's lost it.
The offseason he was hamstrung financially to get under the tax it's obvious. He could have gotten a few better bullpen pieces instead of getting Profar but you bitch and moan about everything that happens so I put no merit into anything you say bc it's always negative. You'll turn on Baldwin to once he hits a rough stretch and it'll happen. That's just what you do. AA is still a top 5 GM in baseball whether you and Matt wanna believe that or not. Most fans bitch about their GM and managers all the time.

AA had a horrible offseason and everybody knows it and I don't blame him last deadline for not going all in when you lost Acuna and Strider for the season.

Why was he financially hamstrung? His extensions

Yeah he looked cooked. I'm sure the whole clubhouse is a pretty miserable place to be right now.
The looks in the dugout said it all. Pierce threw his glove, guys sitting there just staring, Baldwin looked like someone kicked his dog. It’s not a good vibe with this squad at all.

Everybody raved about em at the time and Riley and Olson are still top 5 at their positions. I still think Strider comes back fine once he's had a normal offseason. Murphy is top 5 at C also. Harris is the only one but he was coming off winning rookie of the year so there was no reason to think his bat wouldn't keep progressing.

We were wrong. Enscheff and 50 weren't sold... they were right

Yeah I saw Baldwins face. I'd rather the team be getting blown out than this. This is miserable and it's all on the players. Snit has checked out and they look like they've quit on him but it's still the players not executing. Snit has to be the scapegoat next.

AA is 4th in this division, and it's hard to even include marlins in the rankings
AA is the 4th best GM in the division? lol the record isn't on him it's on the offense not knowing how to hit. That many 1 run games is insane.

I'm crazy enough to think if we had actual mlb bench players and a decent pen, 1-run losses become wins

They had reservations about it and I get the hesitation and I get the cost certainty argument also but it still doesn't change the face that they are still top 5 at their positions.

Like Chef said, no good bench guys wanna come here bc of how Snit never rests anybody bc they'd never play. The dugout will get an over haul soon hopefully minus Kranitz. It all starts there.
