Murphy (aka a top 5 player in baseball) is basically sitting 1 of every 3 games, even when circled around days-off and even if all three night games. I know a catcher needs to sit at least 1 of every 5 generally, but that is still a 30 game delta in pace between the two and 2 of every 3 implies only playing 108 games for someone that is an elite player.

My personal view is its blind loyalty to TD vs. some organizational decision to be strategic with Murphy. I don't understand and don't agree with the current approach.

My thoughts are they want this team healthy and not worn out come October, and if that means Murphy only plays three or four times a week, then I’m good with it. He is a major, major part of our offense and I’m sure AA doesn’t want a repeat of Freeman in that 2020 - or was it 2019? Series against the dodgers.

And it’s not like Travis isn’t a pretty damn good hitter in his own right.

Ozuna not sucking has messed up the TDA / Murphy DH idea. If Ozuna starts sucking again the team could carry a 3rd catcher and TDA / Murphy could DH.

The Murphy trade may become AA’s best move as the Braves GM.

This can't be a good sign for the Mets and Alonso.

Manager Buck Showalter said Alonso had a CT scan in Atlanta on Thursday morning. The slugger was scheduled for an MRI later Thursday in New York. Asked why the additional testing was taking place in New York, Showalter said, "I think we'd rather have our people look at it."

Alonso on Morton after the game.

"He was looking for me," said Alonso of Morton's postgame visit Wednesday night. "He just wanted to apologize. Obviously he didn't mean to. For people speculating for this or that, I just wanted to clear that. Chuckie's a good guy and the situation didn't call for it either. There's nothing to it. I just happened to get hit with an up-and-in fastball."

This broadcast group is fantastic, high level baseball talk. Love it.

Great 1st for Strider, command was sharp. Try to make JV work.

This booth is a **** show and I’m 100% here for it.

I could listen to Chipper talk about hitting every day.
