You guys bitching about closers are as closed minded as twit. Use guys who are fresh and have platoon advantages. Having guys pitch a predetermined inning is stupid. I don’t know who was fresh or not in that situation. Maybe letting Martin go two was the right call.

Why. Martin faced the best hitters. He pitched exactly where he should have. I haven’t paid much attention lately but I smith was going three straight then he shouldn’t have pitched. Was Luke rested? He could have handled the 9th too. I hate the idea of a closer only guy.
