Wow, that was as bad and dumb a play as I have ever seen. Fredi should just take him out of the game it was that bad. He cant even start once a month and not screw up. Needs to just be released so the nightmare can be over.

Just read the other day that there is no plan to release Uggla before the end of the season. Could be a smokescreen and I honestly don't know why we'd keep him around.

He was playing pretty well last season at short. Believe he got hurt though and took a step backwards. He's a very nice player though.

There is only one reason to keep him and that is if they are worried he signs with another team and doesnt suck. The Mets frequently employed this strategy with their bad free agent signings. I was on the fence about it until that play. That was a Game 4 NLDS type idiocy.

I agree, he is a liability in all phases of the game. Has no position versatility, cant even field at 2B, and is barely a better hitter than a pitcher.
