I think Will Smith is owed about 6.5 million left for the rest of the season.
Hypothetically, if he were to be designated for assignment, would that automatically void the option for 2023 to where the Braves wouldn't owe him the next 13 million?
I don't think he will be designated for assignment -- just wishful thinking. I'd rather give Dylan Lee more of his leverage situations.

Never thought I'd miss "Old Man" Glavine in the booth this year. Jordan and Moylan have made sure of that.

You seriously think he can still get hard at his advanced age?
It wouldn't necessarily void it. If he was DFA'd and another team picked him up they would still have that club option as part of his contract. It's not going to be picked up by anybody.
