Eh. It’s their best pitcher vs our worst who’s been jumping between aaa and mlb. Can’t win em all, and this was a prime candidate for a loss.

Ozzie should have tagged Cain out at second. That would have been the third out. Oh well.
Pitchers are showing exactly how to handle a guy with a long swing who has to get started so soon he can’t identify pitches. Hard in, soft away out of the zone.
Riley will need to make adjustments to shorten up that swing. I’ve heard talk that he already corrected a bit of an arm bar issue, and hopefully he can continue making similar changes.

It’s over and so is the season. This team has played above their heads for too long and are finally plummeting back to Earth.

Nah I never give up. I’ll sit here and watch if we’re down 10-0 in the 8th. You never know what can happen, but I just thought this may be a game we drop based on pitching matchups.
