Hate to say it but, the Nats are not going away. They have as easy a schedule as imaginable playing the bottom feeders of the NL and AL Central. They even have games against Baltimore coming up. It will give them a great chance to gain ground like they did last week playing Miami and Detroit, and now Miami again. Let's see what we can do over the next couple of weeks.
Their schedule isn't unimaginably easy. They still have most of their slate against the NL West left, after this Royals series the only AL Central teams left to play are the Twins and Indians, they still have to play the Cardinals/Brewers/Cubs. As for the Braves, we have 21 games against non-NL East teams that have a record below .500 with only 10 games against non-NLE teams with a record above .500. If anyone's schedule is soft moving forward, its ours.
