Mature player. My theory is the FO wanted him working with the MLB coaches and team, which is why he skipped AAA: because they knew he was the sort of player who could absorb & incorporate coaching quickly.

Only way he goes to the Braves imo is if its about legacy. He has legit hall of fame chance. Getting to the playoffs regularly would really help that. He’d have to believe the Mets aren’t going to get there even with extended playoffs.

I want to believe too… but there’s literally no precedent for someone coming back after 2 Achilles tears. Plus he hasn’t pitched since like 1 start in 2020. He is gonna be rusty. Soroka is also one of my favorites but let’s be realistic. Putting expectations on him to be good right away is unfair.
