GDT 7/21/19: Secure the split

I think the Braves would have won a challenge had Acuna not walked off base. Looked like to me that the tag was high near the hip after his foot contacted the bag, The Braves were looking at it.

So stupid by Ronnie

Actually, I like the aggressiveness forcing essentially a perfect throw and tag by the Nats. It plants the seed in their minds that they're going to have to make plays if they want to win the game. In this case, it just didn't work out for us.

Agreed, he looked safe at first but came off the bag when called out. Took a perfect throw to get him.

I can't wait to see the data on Gausman's night tonight and to see how these supposed new pitches look. If he has actually developed another decent pitch or two, that is MASSIVE for the team this year and next year. We really need him and/or Folty to fill out this rotation.

Just checked and according the the play by play, Gausman has been exclusively FB/SPL in the first three innings. He's doing well, but kinda disappointing.
