GDT 7/21 - Season of The Purge

I think Mizz might take it because they are going to get best record and he is flashy. He needs to hit a skid or an innings limit. Because he has the helium right now.
I don't think being on a better team will mean anything in the ROY race. Mizz will hit a skid when the league adjusts to him. He has a 2.82 ERA so it's not like he's Skenes. I hope he falls off a cliff for about 5 starts. But with the new Baldwin/Murphy hitting at the same time I think that helps Baldwin going forward.

Ozuna must have pissed somebody off to be sitting this much now instead of trying to get his value up. There's a 0% chance he's a Brave after this season.

More likely explanation is our staff thinks we can still compete. Poor delusional fools.

Well they just bumped up the costs for A-List season ticket holders for next year. So gotta makeit look like they aren't tanking.

Also, gotta let Snit ride the rest of the season "trying" to win.
With them raising the prices up quite a bit from what I heard there's no way they are gonna sell anything that's controlled for next year. Murphy is going nowhere.

The original report was that players controlled beyond 2025 weren't going to be traded. Now there are already reports coming that say "they have no intentions of selling players on multi-year contracts until the offseason." That itself is a softening on the initial stance.

It would not be surprising to see no major trades on our end. But at the same time, tipping your hand isn't something I would expect AA to do regardless what his plans were. So I remain optimistic that teams will push hard for Murphy at the deadline and AA will try to bend them over a barrel.

The more I watch Drake and Murphy in the lineup together, the more frustrated I'll be if they trade him. There's a reason the offense has been better recently... the reps are clearly helping.

Add Riley back into the mix and the offense may finally find its groove... and that's maybe the most important development for 2026.
