GDT 7/22/24: Braves vs Reds - Grab some Nachos

This team is an absolute mess and lacks leadership in the dugout to work through it...maybe need to consider moving Ozuna for depth if it all falls apart before the deadline.
 
Everyone understands this team has one option, and that’s to push for a playoff spot this season, right?

Back when AA signed every single player to an extension, (remember everyone loved every single one of those extensions when they were being signed?), he set the all-or-nothing course for this franchise for the next several seasons.

There is no flexibility to punt a season. It’s all in for the next several seasons, no matter what. So folks better not forget how much everyone loved the extensions when they were happening.

Those extensions led to a fat and content team
 
I didn’t expect Lopez to come unprepared, but it looks like he is as well. He won’t face many lineups this bad, so the regression bug may be hitting.
 
This group reminds me a lot of the 1984 Braves. Not a terrible team but no spark either. Too much talent missing due to injury and bad moves.
