Yes it was 2001, and our lineup was:

Marcus Giles
Julio Franco
Chipper Jones
Brian Jordan
Andruw Jones
BJ Surhoff
Javy Lopez
Rey Sanchez

Lopez had a career low year that year. Surhoff is Surhoff. BRIAN JORDAN was hitting cleanup. Good lord. And we had Rey Sanchez hitting 8th. That's two pitchers back to back.

Let's get there. This team has a lot of heart and it doesn't know the losing mentality of our streak teams. If we get in a short 5 game series with homefield, I think we can pull it off this time.

The offense has been pretty bad all year. If it wasn't for Justin hitting home runs like a man possessed, we're probably looking at the same offense.

But BJ can't be THIS bad the rest of the year. McCann has been solid. Justin is due really bad. Heyward will do something.

well Wood's starting for Maholm Thrusday. If he does well he gets another start. If he doesn't Beachy gets the next turn in Maholm's spot (he's on the 15 day DL). Medlen's safe unless both Wood and Beachy outpitch him.

BJ will be this bad as long as he refuses to change his approach. No argument on McCann or Heyward.
 
Well, I hope the Cardinals hold on and beat Philly. We are now 6-6 vs the Mets. We should have a better record vs them.
 
and none of those pitchers were close to aces either.

So if any of you *****, you can suck my schlang.
 
Good thing our division sucks. Can you imagine our lead if we could play just a bit over .500? We could have a 12-15 game lead.

Approach?

He can't even make contact so we don't even know what his approach is.

He's missing 91mph fastballs RIGHt down the middle. We don't know if he's trying to go to RF or LF.
