GDT 7/23 -Chris Sale…..is the STOPPER

I know the team has numerous problems, but if Zach Short couldn't cut it for the Mets or Red Sox this year, why the long leash in Atlanta? I thought for sure he would've been DFA'ed weeks ago.

He's our backup SS, so can't cut him. Doesn't mean we have to start him though
 
I usually wait until the playoffs to bet against the Braves, but with a lineup like this and then on top of it throwing a quad A pitcher.. why am I passing on free money... IDIOT...
 
Serious question - when you outfield consists of Eddie and Duvall, do you even worry about a rehab assignment for oatmeal pie?
 
No lineup yet. Gotta figure they're trying to see if Merrifield can go. Maybe Riley on his way to the park
 
Harris to 60-day IL He can't be back till August 14th if my calculations are correct; back dated to June 15th. Logue up

This was a good rain out. Now it's sale, Morton, SS, and Lopez in NY. I think I'd start elder game 1 vs brewers. Plus, Riley would be back tomorrow.
 
If we could get Arozarena and get Harris back then the team should be in pretty good shape. We would still need another SP but hopefully AJSS comes back strong. Fried probably comes back in a month.

Coulda pitched Sale today. Heck, coulda pitched Sale on Friday and then today. Can't keep cutting the SP slack anymore.
