Pitching was a bigger concern and they did little to nothing to address that last winter. That's on the GM. I dont know if Gabe is great or not, but the Phillies have been rebuilding for what, like 7 years, and all they have out of it from their farm is Nola, Hoskins, and Kingery, and a few other depth pieces. That's the GM's fault.

Looking back at it, he got into a bidding war against himself over Harper. Now he's stuck paying the guy $330M over the next 13 years. That approaches Bobby Bonilla territory.
