So Julio is about to be in his "not so cheap years". Man, it might be smart to just get out of his contract. A #5 does better than this....or a young guy learning.

This is actually good news. Consistency for a young team is something that comes with experience. Who on this team has been somewhat consistent? Freddie? Phillips?

The young talented guys will get more consistent

This... Yes.... I find the idea of people wanting Julio gone because of one bad year, ridiculous. As mentioned earlier, maybe this Chuck Hernandez dude just isn't coaching material. No one is having great years under him.
I've stil got faith in the dude, those first 4 full years in the bigs weren't a fluke.

We are in the minority. I'm a julio fan...period. I want him to be a part of this future. He's sucking on purpose...lol

If he's still doing this mid-way through next season then maybe I'll feel a bit differently. But just like I think it's asinine to give players Big phat contracts because of ONE GOOD year, I think it's equally stupid to completely give up on a guy because of ONE BAD year..... especially at 26 years old. sheesh.

Not one bad year. He has a "bad year" every other year. If it helps...next year should be a good year, but then Coppy will declare him an ace again and keep him.

14-8 record, 3.20 ERA, 30 starts, 5th in Rookie of the year voting, in 2013 is a bad year?
11-8 record 4.04 ERA, 33 starts in 2015 at 24 years old is just god awful? God awful is THIS YEAR. 2015 wasn't great, yea obviously. But not terrible.

We all can't have a Clayton Kershaw pitching like vintage Randy Johnson coming outta the gate from his big league debut on till the present. He's a freak of nature

Julio has a had a very good start to his career
