That's because Fredi doesn't actually do any managing. Never sends runners, hit and run, intentionally walks. He writes out a lineup and that's it.

Doesn't everyone get upset here because he tries to squeeze and sacrifice bunt too much?

And he used to send Bourne all the time last year... we just don't have anyone like that with speed anymore. I'd rather him not force Heyward to run with a bad leg or Simmons to run too much to where he might get injured again, because a runner caught stealing is worse than not stealing.
