I hate it, but the Dodgers ownership has put together one heck of a team. They are likely going to start putting the rest of the N.L. West further behind in their rear-view mirror. The Giants are a shell of what they were earlier in the season. Especially with the potential of Cain having a serious injury.

I'd guess the same—that the Dodgers are going to gap SF and be the best team in the NL when all is said and done.

Doumit has done nothing but flail away all year and is putrid defensively. He had one stretch for about a week earlier in the year where he had a couple huge hits. Other than that, nothing. Schafer should just try batting right-handed. Pena....LOL, I remember when people wanted him to start every day. Laird is somewhat useful. Terdo, Cunningham, Jose deserve opportunities.

Pena is fine if he's the 4th guy off the bench. Doumit at least has a shot of running into one occasionally. Schafer is dead wood. Gosselin is ???.
