Washington is not that good. Their first 3 starters are top notch but beyond that they are a very poor team. Outside of Werth, Harper, Desmond, and Zimmerman they can't hit at all. They are the SECOND worst offense in the NL and I don't see that changing at all. Their back end of the rotation is horrible, their defense is horrible, and their pen is average at best. They have allowed 27 more runs then they have scored. They just are not good. Last year they had career high or close to career high numbers from most of their offense. That isn't happening this year.

The Phillies have been killed by injuries but that's what happens when you have an aging core roster. You can't count on them and expecting them to revert back to 2-3 years ago is foolish. They are old and just not that good.

Yes those starters are legit. Arguably the top 3 for any team in baseball. But their pen loves to blow games and they can't score runs at all.
 
Even better is that the vaunted nationals farm system has taken a step back even though we were told they are drafting much better than the Braves.
 
Well the Tigers just put a 5 spot on Gio in the 2nd.
