Both Freddie and Donaldson are hitless today with 3 Ks in 8 ABs. Must be thinking about history!

That’s why I expected Newcomb to enter with two outs in the eighth, then stay in for the ninth. Seems like that would’ve been a good strategy.

Snitker is too old school. Doesn't believe in loogy matchups from 8th inning onward if his closer and setup man are pitching.

That definitely seems to be the case. Eaton had a flare and Camargo should have gotten an out on Rendon’s grounder. That kind of thing seems to happen a lot.

I agree Luke got unlucky and snit for sure can’t be a manager of a true contending team but are you really comfortable with Luke and Newk being our top two relievers and using them in a playoff series?
I honestly don’t think you can call a team with them as there 8th and 9th inning guys a serious contender.
Martin should help and paired alongside Newk should be a solid 8th inning combo but unless we get someone in the next hour we are cursed with Luke..

the 9th was bad luck and poor managing. blaming either pitcher is pretty stupid. par for the course for some.
