I honestly don't care if it's a catch or not. The umpire changing the call midstream made it untenable for the runners. You can't allow a DP in that situation.

And their lineup isn't even good.

Their wRC is 111 on the season. They have depth up and down the lineup. They could use a DH/3B upgrade, but it’s otherwise a playoff worthy offense.

The Mets have a lineup full of guys who don't give away at bats. They've been getting very good starting pitching, and they have a lights-out closer. And I think Showalter and guys like Max have had a positive impact on their clubhouse.

The Mets are finally being run and managed well. Unless we win at minimum three of five next week we probably aren't catching them.
