GDT#7, 4/8/'14: Braves (Harang) vs. Mutts (Colon) 7:05 PM EST [HOME OPENER]

yeah, we just lost to a team that can't hit, pitch or field. Sucks, but its only one game. Some people need to calm down.

Heyward is our worst hitter in the lineup. That 3-2 pitch he swung at is not defensible at all.

He should be out of the leadoff spot, hell put the pitcher there, they make contact or draw a walk.

I would like to introduce you to Mr. uggla, Mr. Simmons, Mr. Bossman Jr, and Mr. Gattis

We should be embarrassed for Hank Aaron with that putrid display. It was a nut shot to his sack in how we performed.

As I was watching the 9th inning, I was thinking about who would be the pinch hitter...

Schafer? - No, I wouldn't go with him.
Patornicky? - I don't like the righty righty matchup
Pena? - That's our guy.

... I didn't even think of Laird as an option. Why? Two reasons:

1. He's Laird, and he can't hit
2. He's our only remaining catcher on the bench, and our idiotic manager made it clear last year he wouldn't use our only backup catcher (Gattis - an actually legit bench bat), no matter what.

So everyone knows I hate Fredi. He's the dumbest manager in the league. But the decision to bat Gerald Laird was not only wrong, but legitimately bizarre. I don't understand

We didn't just totally blow Hank Aaron night, we also gave another starter a loss that deserved a win. That's three times in 7 games so far.

Is Jordan Schafer or Pena hurt? I don't understand why Laird ass was hitting.

Because he has more power potential than the other two. The move that really hurt was wasting Doumit in a meaningless situation in the 7th, that's where Schafer or Pena should have been used.

Are you kidding? Laird doesn't have any power potential. He may get one homer in an entire season but that's about it. Pena has more power than him and Schafer more likely to run into one.
