I think Minor has pitched rather well tonight aside from a couple mistakes. I will personally say I don't particularly care for him too much, but I will call it as I see it.

The big difference, aside from this waste of space behind the plate called an umpire is, the opponents foul off our good pitches and hit our mistakes as our hitters foul off mistakes and get out on good pitches.

Simmons clearly rode the short bus. Someone go tell them that when men are on base, they're supposed to get a hit! It's not like guys get paid to get them out, baseball is EZ. I'm not one of those calling for Minor's head. I'm frustrated with him, but I think he can easily turn it around if he gets out of his own head. I don't think the team is idiotic for not getting hits every at bat. But to try to bunt in the situation Simba did is idiotic, and there's no other way around it. The guy has been throwing batting practice tonight.

I do not mind frustration. I get plenty frustrated watching nightly, and see things I think are poor moves. Fair criticism is good and creates good discussion.

So the Braves win 9 games in a row, 10 of their last 12 and 12 of their last 16, but yet, are in danger of being back in 2nd place at the end of the night. Too bad, they couldn't handle their business well enough while Washington was really hurt and kind of bury them in the race. Now it's a dogfight all year. And I can't stand the Nats, a bunch of pricks.
