Without looking at stats I'd bet he was pretty lucky last year. He isn't a great RP.

Especially a lefthanded specialist, Avilan can't even get lefties out. Why did Fredi not go with the formula of Walden 8th and Kimbrel 9th, he had it set up perfectly and didn't use his formula.

Yes Walden is ideal, but Avilan got the 1st two outs in that inning easily vs RH hitters.

It's July, there was plenty to acquire another lefty and send Avilan to Gwinette.

He had a 3.28 FIP last year and a 3.66going into tonight. Of course after tonight he's now at 4.09 FIP.
