Mfer is 20 years old acting like he has Chipper Jones legs...A player should never determine when they are ready to play or not.

Somehow I don't think completely revamping your approach at the plate, when it's worked your entire career is the way to go.

It's not simply a change in baseballs. That has had some affect. But we've also had some rotten luck on hard hit balls, like we did several times tonight. In the 9th inning alone we had 102mph and 105mph outs. That's simply rotten luck. Every now and then that rotten luck can be extended longer than normal. It seems that luck is changing a bit in recent weeks. Hopefully, these start falling in more the 2nd half of the season.

When did I say anything about revamping. Our good hitting core all know how to hit and have the ability to cut down on their swing. Even Ozuna was recently quoted as saying he started slumping when he was trying to hit homers and went back to what was working earlier this year. Good hitters can attack pitches and protect the plate to move a runner over or do something productive. I never said they should go McNeil and choke up every at bat. I know the value of homers versus singles.

Well clearly Ozuna is proof that sticking with what you got you there is the recipe that works. Ozuna hasn't been affected by the change in balls.

Again I am not saying the change has has no affect. I'm simply pointing out that rotten luck has played a larger role.

I agree rotten luck is a big factor, but poor plate appearances in big spots seem to be a big factor as well.. especially recently and what is probably driving my OP.. I can directly remember 3 times in just the last series the Braves had 2and 3rd no outs and didn't plate a single run.. last night 1 and 2nd and the next 2 guys struck out. Just straight garbage.

take the Riley K last night.. one on and one out 3-2 pitch and that rookie threw a bad slider that was just a downer (zero horizontal movement) and it was at least 6 inches off the plate and some how Riley still swung.. next hitter walked, so bases loaded with 1 out if Riley was thinking... I know bad things can happen, but man it seems like that crap happens a lot. And I even said I wasn't bashing Riley.. Just seems like those type of AB's happen more this year than I can remember.

I noticed how they kept trying to get the one behind the plate in the shot. She might be connected to the team in some way. She is at a lot of games. Based on her looks I figured she might be a player wife.
