GDT: #71. 7:05 PM EST (Floyd) Braves @ (Zimmerman) Nats

Isn't it at least fair to say that Doumit has earned some playing time? And Fredi has always believed in going L/R down the lineup. Why does this stuff come as such a shock to some of you.

It's shocking because it's stupid. How can anyone defend BJ in the two hole and Heyward down in the order?

I could defend Heyward fifth as long as it was the other Upton hitting second. TLS might actually be a better leadoff man than Heyward. And you can certainly defend Justin, Freddie and Gattis in 2,3,4.

"Might" but not proven. You don't put an elite base runner down in the 5 hole where his ability to score from 1st on a double is completely gone because of the garbage hitting behind him.

Not much to say that everyone already hasnt. All freddi supporters just chew on this for awhile, Heyward was moved down in the lineup while bj stays...anyone who thinks they can understand or defend this move is crazier than freddi. At least Floyd looks good.

By the way, I hope I'm wrong, but it looks like the rest of the Braves have now rubbed off on Tommy LaStella. He doesn't look like he has the same patient approach. And he hasn't gotten a hit since moving to the leadoff spot.

1 full game, and 2 abs today. Give it some time. Also get someone who can hit behind him.

I don't know if it's a curve or a slider but Gavin Floyd's breaking ball is making Nats hitters look foolish right now.
