Down 4 games with 57 left. AA made moves for us to try to run down the Mets. Can’t do that if you don’t win series and just about every series from here on out at that. It’s an important game. And Kevan Smith, who is total trash at the plate, should not be starting with an off day tomorrow. Vogt at least has some life in his bat.

I know Riley has been great this year and hot lately, but I never have the thought "hell yeah, Riley at the plate"

All fair. But if that’s the team’s goal it’s an important game. If Vogt can’t catch on short rest anymore it’s time to retire. At least half a game.
