I say that because he trys to do things his abilities don't allow.. stealing bases.. diving for balls (or just playing defense in general).. swinging at everything..

didn't mean to poke the Sorryio fan club hive.. soory boys.. he is awesome and hope we extent him.

To put numbers on this…

The gap between the most valuable base runner (+10 runs) and the least value base runner (-6 runs) is about 16 total runs.

The gap between the most valuable batter (50 runs) and the least valuable batter (-18 runs) is about 68 total runs.

So yeah, all those stolen bases are worth very little, and the injury risk simply isn’t worth it.
 
AA saying if they did any last minute deals, it would have been for a bat.
 
AA also saying the Braves staffers feel confident in the players coming back from injury. On why he didnt trade for a SP.

If this is how AA actually feels and isn't just him trying to GM speak, that is a big risk. Forearm tightness and persistent shoulder soreness don't have a great track record of being things a couple months of rest fixes.

I also wonder if our lack of a trade for an SP has to do with the fact we may very well need to trade for one in the off season, and we have very little of value in the minors as it is.
