GDT 8/10/23: Braves @ Pirates

Lol that dude leaning into a pitch (which should have been an out) ended up costing two runs, at least. Also, I have no idea how this horrible ass Hayes dude keeps beating us.

t was close and I'm not sure how they had enough to overturn it after he was called out initially. But it's 4-3...

Got out of it without anymore damage, but it should have stayed 4-2. Safe or not, I'm not sure how to overturn something that close.

I love it when Arcia plays well. I've always said I'd love to be wrong about him. I'll admit I was wrong about him. Mostly about his defense.

When you look at his expected stats, Arcia is pretty close to his preseason projections. He's basically been what was expected except with luck.

His defense has been the highlight though. I don't know if it's getting back at a position he's more comfortable at or getting to play everyday but his defense has way outstripped what I expected.

His expected stats suggest he’s a league average hitter (.325 xWOBA). That’s not even close to what you were saying about his bat at the start of the year.
