GDT 8-10 ... MIKE BRINGS THE CORNMEAL AND HOT SAUCE

kind of tough for Melancon to hold readiness to come in for so long...but he's been around for a while and knows how to handle things

This has nothing to do with the Camargo homer, because I was going to say this anyway. But, if we win this game I would have Camargo at 3B tomorrow. We have got to start making sure our stars don’t wear down down the stretch, especially the older ones. And we’re already behind the 8-ball.

He has been so good so i 'get it' but its so odd that donaldson hasnt gotten more rest.

I'm not against it, JD's in a little bit of a funk.

I'd at least let Joyce start for Duvall.

Not sure I've seen anyone previously pull Melancon's preferred trick of covering the pitching rubber with dirt. At least I know what Prado was upset about last night.

Name one guy in our bullpen that consistently has clean innings.

Jackson came in with the second worst IRS % on the team allowing 44.4 percent to score, that just went up. Webb is actually among our best but he is hurt and Swarzak has good IRS numbers too but obviously he started the inning and didn't have it. Blevins is good but only vs lefties. Bottom line, pretty much anyone you go with besides Jackson has a better strand rate. The three new relievers obviously have too small a sample size with us to use.
