Bringing Biddle in was fine. What was headscratching was letting him face Braun. He gives up a rope. Then he gets a groundout to settle in and then you take him out?

Venters was mentioned earlier in the thread by someone, but they weren't clear what inning just wanted him vs the two lefties back to back

Biddle has reverse splits. Having him face two lefties in the first three batters when Venters was available is a head scratcher. If Venters was overworked I could see your point.
 
I just saw the replay of Braun’s catch and may be the best one he’s ever made lol Just crazy awful luck for us.
 
That spot is Winkler a couple months ago, but Biddle there isn't bad. Just silly and really unfortunate sequencing there.

I agree that Venters was the right move. Just saying Biddle has been doing well and was rested. So it was not indefensible to go to him.
 
Somebody really needs to come up with some significant numbers we haven't seen to explain why Hader isn't starting. He's Sale v.2.

On top of that why do you have Brach pitch in the 7th against the lower end of the order and have the rookie Biddle pitch against the big guns? It makes no sense to me.

Biddle has been nails. I have no problem with him getting some high leverage gigs.
