Biddle has reverse splits. Having him face two lefties in the first three batters when Venters was available is a head scratcher. If Venters was overworked I could see your point.
Wonder if Venters is ok. He should be pitching this inning, not Luke Jackson.
I agree that Venters was the right move. Just saying Biddle has been doing well and was rested. So it was not indefensible to go to him.
On top of that why do you have Brach pitch in the 7th against the lower end of the order and have the rookie Biddle pitch against the big guns. It makes no sense to me.
