I mean, he is most definitely better than Druw right now. Druw is fat and in his 40s, and lost his ability when he was fat and still in his 30s.

In all seriousness, this Mets team seems to be a lot closer to contention than I initially thought earlier this season. They seem to have a good, relatively young core to build around if they want to go all in the next couple of years. I really don’t think most of their core is young enough to try and rebuild around for competing down the road. We all know they have the rotation. But, like the Phillies, I’m not sure they are going to be able to have the depth required to be a great team over 162.
