Junk ball pitchers always scare me going into the season. I mentioned I was worried about high leverage guys for the pen. Thankfully JJ is starting to come around. I agree Collin needs to be the one to go when Lee is ready.

Cheerios has literally been one of the worst pitchers in baseball this year. It's mind boggling AA even claimed him.
I said before that sometimes AA falls in love with his own cleverness. I think this is one of those times. AA saw something in Cheerios data that convinced AA that the Braves could turn him into something. But sometimes a turd is just a turd. AA hasn't been able to see that yet.

Hes just seeing if he can win the 5-spot. We aren't in a pennant race. Yonny is just to try and buy time for soroka and wright.

Then why has Cheerios gotten starts over Winans? If we're just buying time we could be getting AJSS some innings.
And Soroka didn't need time bought for him. He was a better option than Cheerios at every point.
Cheerios has kept his spot while other guys have been shuffled. He's had way more commitment to him than of the other fringe players. You don't do that with arguably the worst starter in baseball unless your GM thinks he sees something.
I think there's an 80% chance Cheerios makes his next start.
