I don't know about that. Maybe right, if so doesn't mean cheering an opposing batter getting hit close to their head is the right thing to do. I've been a part of a bunch of beanings and a couple brawls. I don't have issues with hitting a player that deserves it in the right spot. But, after that you drop it.

I get a kick out of the Nats board. They talk about how classless the Braves are for throwing close to Nats heads - and how that crosses the line and is beyond baseball...

Then they all pine for Strasburg to hit people in the HEAD with a 98 mph fastball

This has to be a joke or you're just delusional. Now if Harper had suffered a serious injury as a result of a HBP, and the Braves fans cheered, then yes that is classless. But by all indications it was a harmless HBP both times, both coming against a guy who has acted like a jerk many times in the media to the Braves

They cheered as soon as he was hit and it was close to head.

Honestly, how dido as he a jerk to Braves? By saying the race wasn't over? Have you played competively before?
 
Maybe Upton did deserve to catch one in the hip pocket. The fact that the Nats don't have the nads to take care of business says more about them than it does about the Braves for plunking Harper. I mean, the Nats fans chastise the Braves for hitting Harper in one instant and then the very next instant wish their team wasn't so spineless.

For the record, the only hbp that I think was intentional was Teheran's. Pitchers are very weary of Harper's ability in that lineup and want to keep it in on his hands.
 
At what point are the Nats going to quit being a bunch of little *****es about this? Julio probably hit him on purpose because he felt like he got shown up on the homer. Wood threw a CURVE BALL, and when Avilan hit him, it was late in a crucial spot, and Harper was the go-ahead run. Get ****ing real and grow the **** up.

I'm sorry you disagree. It was funn in that we were all in gleeful disbelief that they'd hit him again. It was all of our tipsy fantasies come to life.

Also, because there was one gnats fan in my section in a Harper jersey who acted like we'd just fired on Ft. Sumter. Great times...
