GDT 8/17/20 - Squashing the gnats

Duvall's HR was on an almost identical pitch to the one he hit on Saturday night against the Marlins. Low-80s breaking ball that was low and outer-half that he pulled hard. The pitches were just sitting there saying "Hit me!" but it takes a lot of strength for a guy to launch it like Duvall did in both instances.

This was one of those weird games where it felt like we should have won but lost but really won. We left so many scoring chances go by that I felt the loss was going to hurt but then we won and it felt like we should have lost because we choked so many chances away. Y

Well, Duvall certainly isn't being platooned now. In a 60 game season a few perfectly timed HRs may end up being more valuable than overall production.

@Tapate50

Is Ray Knight still announcing for them?

It was Bob Carpenter and FP Santangalo. FP was the worst. He stuck up for Soto showboating and then whined about the TV feed showing a replay of Dansby's Home run.
